Modagrafics has a powerful new tool to help in the age-old struggle with color matching. ColorThink Management software from CHROMiX was introduced last month and this is the first of a three-part series that will explain its benefits and how the program works.

ColorThink allows for plotting the target color against the color range that our presses are capable of achieving. The software program sets the standard to provide color across many platforms. It plots data into the application, graphs information in 2D and 3D for visual analysis, and illustrates where the color level is at and where it needs to go.

“The ColorThink application will be used to give our prepress department greater detailed information for new or improving upon color management processes,” explained Prepress Manager Paul Studzinski. “Our prepress operators have spent approximately 25% of their time dialing in color. With this tool, we can hit color quicker and with more precision.
